Mike's Place is nestled in a beautiful sea side town called Gibsons. We are privileged to be able to offer our customers a scenic (pretty much year round) deck with plenty of seating. We are well known locally and abroad for our house made gelato, but what many don't know is we serve great lunches and snacks too! We serve espresso drinks, brewed coffees using 49th Parallel Coffee, teas (Davis Bay Tea Co.- a local tea lady from Davis Bay), paninis, soups, sandwiches, other hot items, and desserts. Take a look at our menu, which features prices and what we have available for you. Fresh Sourdough Bread:
We are proud to offer authentic sour dough bread made from simple natural ingredients. The yeast used is wild yeast, captured and grown right here on the Sunshine Coast. Our white sour dough consists of:

*Organic flour
*Wild natural yeast
*Filtered water
*Olive Oil
*Sea salt

Each loaf is mixed and then fermented for a minimum of 14 hrs before baking. The result of this is a real sour dough bread that is easy to digest and has a great flavor.

If you or anyone in your family have a gluten intolerance; real sour dough is a product that many can digest. There are none of the gluten side effects found with the common commercial yeast breads. Come and give our sour dough a try!
